Features

Here’s a brief description of main features of TaylorMade SLDR driver.

Low-and-Forward Center of Gravity
TaylorMade SLDR driver is unique for having low and forward center of gravity (CG) as opposed to traditional drivers which usually have low-and-back CG. Researchers at TaylorMade discovered that having low-and-forward CG generates the most distance. Moving the CG forward reduces spin and increases ball speed which combined with more loft adds a great leap to distance. This feature is largely obtained by 20-gram sliding weight on sole.

Sliding Weight
TaylorMade has reinvented SLDR sliding weight making it more effective and easier to use. Easily promote draw or fade by adjusting weight horizontally. TaylorMade SLDR’s innovative sliding weight allows up-to 30 yards of side-to-side trajectory change. Adjusting weight takes as little as ten seconds. Sole is marked with “Draw” and “Fade” to make shot-shape adjustment easier.

Adjustable Loft Sleeve Technology
TaylorMade SLDR incorporates Loft-Sleeve technology which make loft very adjustable. Loft can be adjusted to 12 positions within a range of plus-or-minus 1.5 degrees. SLDR is available in three lofts – 9.5°, 10.5° and HL.

All in all TaylorMade SLDR Driver is not only aesthetically beautiful and visually compelling driver, but it also incorporates some of the latest technologies which can be really helpful for your golf game. However, if you’re just starting out and still working on your swing, this would not be a good driver for you. For newbies we strongly recommend very forgiving Callaway Strata.
